Wedding Day Salons 101

1

Under most circumstances, getting a manicure, pedicure, facial, and professional hairstyling and makeup would be considered pampering at its finest! But when some or all of those regimens are combined in a short amount of time (and under high amount of stress!) they can be difficult to enjoy.

If you’re a bride-to-be, the following steps can help ensure that your wedding day salon experience goes as smoothly as possible.

1. Ask around to see which salons or spas people recommend. Before you hit the Internet or the yellow pages, ask family and friends first to see if they can recommend an establishment with great service. Be sure to also get the name of the specific esthetician or stylist recommended.

2. Confirm the spa or salon is close to the venue for your ceremony. Also make sure it has all of the services you’ll require.

3. Book a consultation. Bring along photos, color swatches, and questions about time frame estimations and costs.

4. Book the wedding day appointment for you and your bridesmaids. Most bridal parties find that the wedding day preparations go a lot smoother if the bride and bridesmaids are all having their hair/makeup done at the same venue.

Tip: Try to free up time on your wedding day by having some services done in advance by a day or so (manicure, pedicure, waxing, haircut).
